Cotoneaster 'Scarlet Leader'

Cotoneasters are popular for their abundance of white to pink flowers in the spring and summer, followed by bright red fruit in the autumn.

'Scarlet Leader' is an excellent, low growing, ground hugging, dark grossy green ground cover that turns a red-purple leaf color in the winter. This groundcover is mat-forming and only grows about a foot high with a spread of about 6 feet. It prefers full sun to light shade.
